About our Montessori Nursery
We invite you to our Montessori Nursery.
Maria Montessori was born in Italy and she was an Italian doctor. After many years of practice and observation, Maria developed a method for working with young children, now called The Montessori Method. Today, her work and method is continued and developed by teachers, scientists and educators. In Poland our center - Polskie Centrum Edukacji Montessori - is dedicated to the Montessori method.
In Montessori we support the spontaneity and creativity of young children. We allow our children to develop comprehensively physically, spiritually, culturally and socially. The teacher has the role of a guide. Our attitude is full of respect for the children and their dignity as a human being. (our teachers are not babysitters or “aunties”. Our Montessori teachers create a specially prepared environment with all the materials - classrom is quiet, peaceful and in order.
We create Montessori classrooms with spcecial Montessori materials. That gives our children optimal conditions for the child’s development. In our prepared environment we devide all materials in areas such as: practical life, sensorial and pre-math, art and culture, language, movement. All Montessori materials in our classroom are available to children so they can reach whatever attracts them.
Recruitment process takes place all year round. Please contat us and find out if we have available place. We can together discuss your child's readiness to joint the group.
Our nursery is open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. We offer a choice of 3 Montessori programmes. All-day program from 7:30 to 17:30, morning programme from 7:30 to 2:30 or full day program from 8:00 to 4:00.
The groups are of mixed age. Children learn from each other and experience being in different roles. We invite children aged 6 to 36 months. The ratio is usually 1 adult to 5 children in Green group (for children6 -18 months) and 1 adult to 8 children in Yellow group (18 - 36 months). The number of adults depends on the independence of children in each group.
